Springfield Mennonite Church is a multi-generational, evangelical church of believers located in a beautiful area of rural upper Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Springfield has a rich history, dating back to 1751, and is a member of the Alliance of Mennonite Evangelical Congregations (AMEC). We are seeking a full time solo pastor to lead our congregation of about 70 members.
Requirements
Degree in Bible or theology
Seminary is not necessary but encouraged
Agree with AMEC statement of faith
Male
Meet the New Testament requirements as listed in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
Born again believer
Called to pastoral ministry
Communication, leadership, and organization skills
Servant’s heart
Desire to lead individuals to faith and disciple them to lead lives honoring God
Responsibilities
Preach and teach the Bible
Provide vision
Work with Spiritual Council
Pray faithfully for the congregation
Connect with the congregation (visitations, conversations, etc.)
Disciple and encourage deeper relationships with Christ
Plan weekly worship services
Work to build healthy families
